How it works

    We announce a plan

    We publish what we want to do, with a price and a deadline — ambitious ideas and honest ones like fixing the air conditioning, side by side.

  2. 2

    You reserve your support

    Pick a reward and reserve it. No money moves at this point. You are only charged if the plan reaches its goal by the deadline.

  3. 3

    If it reaches the goal, we do it

    Progress is posted on each project page. If the goal isn't reached, the plan is shelved and nobody is charged.

About USOKARA

USOKARA is a crowdfunding site run in-house by USONO inc. of Tokyo. The only projects listed here are our own — plans by USONO, by our shops (Uso no Tobacco Shop in Asakusabashi and Kamenya Omote in Kyojima), and joint plans with the artists we work with. Instead of paying a platform fee, every yen raised goes into making the plan real.

The name comes from the Japanese proverb uso kara deta makoto — "truth that came out of a lie." A company with "lie" in its name making its plans come true: that is what this place is for.
